£200 available for kids to start a group
The UK Youth Parliament's programme, No Messin', is giving children aged 10-14 an opportunity to get up to £200 to turn an idea into reality. They are looking for ideas that solve problems, such as finding somewhere for kids to hang out safely, to start a club, to play a new sport locally – anything that kids think will help them in a positive way.
Groups need to be between 4 and 8 people. Those groups who are successful in putting forward a good idea that they can make happen will get to go on a three-day residential training course with other teams from Scotland, Wales and England. The training will help make the project a success as each group learns skills in teamwork, problem-solving and communication.
