Girls

Maybe you've begun to show some signs of puberty – for example, periods or breasts – or maybe you haven't. Maybe you know a little about puberty, or a lot, or nothing? Great! You've come to the right place.

So what is puberty?

The simple answer: the change from a girl into a young woman ... but it's not that simple! Every girl will experience the same things yet puberty is different for everyone. Sound confusing? That's because it is!

What we're saying is that puberty for you will be unique because you are you. You're special in your own way, as each and every other person is special in their own way. All your girlfriends will go through the changes of puberty, but you'll all experience it in your own way and in your own time – when your body is ready. So puberty is about change.
