Sex education inadequate in 25% of schools
A recent Ofsted report found that teachers' embarrassment and lack of knowledge resulted in poor sex and relationships education (SRE) in English schools.
The biological facts were taught, but students did not have the opportunity to explore the nature of relationships in any depth – such as managing risks, saying 'no' and negotiation in relationships."
