I have now been a teacher for 25 years and it is becoming increasingly obvious that girls are menstruating at an earlier age with many parents assuming their daughters know all they need to know about managing periods from talking to friends in the playground or watching soaps on TV. I felt it was really important to get both mothers and daughters along to information sessions with our school to hear first hand about menstruation and to see the products available to help deal with a potentially embarrassing situation for a young girl. However, not all parents are able to do this and not all schools offer these opportunities. The PoGo Pack™ provides not only the factual information and the products, but also the reassurance needed by young girls and busy parents for dealing sensitively with this first sign of womanhood.

My daughter pronounced it "very cool" and said it makes her feel very grown up. I had to stop her taking it into school for show & tell though, didn't think the boys would understand.

The PoGo Pack™ is a great new way for girls to understand and ‘come to terms with’ their period. All the information inside is very informative and educated me on everything I wanted to know. A pogo pack is very handy to take around when you are on the go. It has a smaller rip out section which you can take travelling with you. The pack comes with everything you need including tissues, a few bags, pads in all different sizes and something to write all the dates of your periods in.

As you know I have just ordered a PoGo Pack for the second time. My daughter is 9 years old and the onset of her periods is fast approaching. As a Brownie and Guide Leader, as well as a Mum, I thought the PoGo Pack was a fantastic idea. When it first arrived I was as excited as she was and have to say it is brilliant. It has made the whole subject more appealing to my daughter, but also the information you have supplied with the pack has also opened up for informed discussion between us. It has also made my daughter feel less self-conscious and more confident that she now can discuss the subject with the information she has read. I cannot recommend the Pack, your service, or the information you supply highly enough, and will be passing details of PoGo to the girls in my units. I will also be using a Pack as an emergency supply for girls at Guide Camp in the summer!

Thought you might like to know, that at last your pack has been used! (2 weeks before my daughter's 15th birthday). Have just purchased 2 packs for my daughters, one who is almost 17 and well into the whole period thing but I felt that it was useful to have anyway, and one for my 11 year old who hasn’t started yet but I feel it could be around the corner! It is a brilliant idea and like you when my older daughter had started I could not find anything suitable. I've just read about the PoGo Pack™ online, and could not resist congratulating you on such a brilliant idea. How I wish it had been around when I was a girl in the 60s. Most of my contemporaries felt embarrassed during the onset of periods - obviously we could talk about it amongst ourselves but we almost all felt that our mothers didn't understand, and, if found out, any such talk was absolutely banned by our teachers. Have been giving thought to the development of my 11 year old daughter. She had a first experience of very light spotting about 5 weeks ago - so I went to the supermarket to make sure she was supplied with everything she may need. I’ve just received one of your excellent Pogo Pack™s in the post & feel I have to write! This is exactly the sort of product I have been searching for for my daughter. A few months ago, I got a call from her school to say they thought she had started her periods (she's 10 ½), actually she hadn’t, it was just a bit of spotting, but despite having a mum who worked in sexual health & being (I thought) very well informed myself, I panicked! Ended up in our local Boots staring at the rows of pantyliners without a clue! All the things I was looking for, calendars, mixed size packs of pads etc, were unavailable, I wanted to put together a similar sort of ‘one stop’ kit for her & you have now done it so beautifully. I heard about it through a friend who had seen it discussed on a parenting forum (not sure which one, but she said it was all positive), and I thought the information for girls was excellent. I picked a leaflet up in the Trafford Centre a few months back and as my 9 year old daughter may be approaching early puberty I decided to have a look at the website with her to see if she would be comfortable with getting one and we are both VERY impressed with the website and the concept of it! It's such an easy idea but would be difficult to get it right myself and nowhere sells anything remotely similar and as for the price..... I honestly thought it would cost more (please don't let that encourage a price change!). Periods are such a big leap in life and even though I have explained as openly and honestly as I can with my daughter, I know it will still be a shock when it happens, so I thought this would give her that little bit of "piece of mind".
