My daughter sat down on the sofa next to me for over an hour reading every last bit of information and asked me about pre-menstrual feelings (and how to pronounce menstrual - god only knows what her school talk actually covered!). She coo-ed over the pretty bag and the bag within a bag and was keen to use the calendar to start noting her monthly cycle. Every item in the bag was examined and she told me the contents as they came out. Now she is waiting for her next (rather irregular) cycle to test out the pads. All in all, it was a massive hit. It is now on her bedside unit, unlike the school's pack which I assume is still shoved under her bed.

Though i cant buy the pogo pack, the features gave me a lot of information and also gave me the concept of what is periods, puberty etc! I am shy to talk to my mom about it so this site really helped me! Congrats Pogo Pack for helping a lot of girls!

Anonymous, age 11-13: A pogo pack is very handy to take around when you are on the go. It has a smaller rip out section which you can take travelling with you. The pack comes with everything you need including tissues, a few bags, pads in all different sizes and something to write all the dates of your periods in.

Schools

Robyn worked with a committee of Year 6 girls to enhance our sex and relationship education in school. She met regularly with me and the committee to discover exactly what was needed and the best way to pass the information across to our audience of 10 and 11 year old girls.

Her relaxed manner has enabled all our Year 5 and 6 girls to have a greater understanding and confidence in dealing with puberty. The work undertaken by Robyn culminated in a 'Mothers and Daughters/Girls Growing Up' event which was very successful and gratefully received by our parents and girls.

Robyn's passion to ensure the girls feel confident in their changing bodies was apparent and she listeneed with great interest to our committee to help shape the event. Never before has the event involved Y6 girls sharing their feelings and getting the Y5 and 6 girls involved in 'hand's on' activities. The evening was a resounding success and Robyn imparted much valuable information to us all.

As the science teacher, I am responsible for teaching our Year VI girls the topic of human reproduction. This includes understanding the physical and emotional changes that lead up to menstruation.

In any Year VI class some girls will reach that milestone during their last year at primary school. It has been very beneficial for our girls to have the opportunity to see and purchase a product which can really help their confidence as they make the change into womanhood.

The girls who are not quite as mature are still able to be prepared for the eventuality. The PoGo Pack provides the necessary products and reassurance that young girls need to help them cope. The pack is attractively designed, and the girls love the detachable inner purse; this can be carried discreetly in a schoolbag, or kept in a school locker in case of an emergency.

The girls also gain additional support from the excellent information provided by PoGo's website. We have been very happy to promote this product in our school and we think it should have been developed a long time ago. Thank you for giving our girls the support they need at this important stage of their lives.

I have now been a teacher for 25 years and it is becoming increasingly obvious that girls are menstruating at an earlier age with many parents assuming their daughters know all they need to know about managing periods from talking to friends in the playground or watching soaps on TV. I felt it was really important to get both mothers and daughters along to information sessions with our school to hear first hand about menstruation and to see the products available to help deal with a potentially embarrassing situation for a young girl. However, not all parents are able to do this and not all schools offer these opportunities. The PoGo Pack provides not only the factual information and the products, but also the reassurance needed by young girls and busy parents for dealing sensitively with this first sign of womanhood.
