Young people participate in the House of Commons

Today is an historic moment for the House of Commons. Over 300 young people aged 11-18 who were elected as members of the UK Youth Parliament will be debating in the House of Commons chamber. It marks the first time anyone other than MPs have ever debated in the Commons.

This is a great celebration of how young people are taking an interest in the future of our society, debating issues that are of concern to them.
